Challenge

Imagine a rebrand for Whistler Blackcomb, home to British Columbia's best ski slopes and mountain biking trails.

Transform the resort into a fan-worthy lifestyle brand that thrill seekers, family vacationers, and nature lovers alike will engage with outside of resort visits.

2025

The refreshed Whistler Blackcomb logo represents how visitors experience the two iconic mountains—a continuous loop of ascents and descents.

Whistler Blackcomb's color palette allows for a wide range of expression. The primary palette, Evergreen and Sage, is respectable. The secondary colors add energy when needed.

In its typography, the brand embraces the slanted letterforms of Avant Garde Bold and utilizes Avenir Roman for paragraphs. The pairing is prestigious without being too imposing.

Whistler Bike Park's revitalized signage system strikes a perfect balance between aesthetics with legibility.

Handmade background patterns correspond to the two types of mountain bike trails: jagged lines for technical and smooth ones for flow.

The new brand identity allows for flexible merchandise designs that appeal to a variety of fans, from family skiiers, to hikers, to adrenaline junkies.

Stickers allow visitors to make the Whistler Blackcomb brand part of their personal style.
